It's still WIP, but I can show you pair of images with a new branding in LibreOffice 7.0. And you can look at it yourself when you'll download a current daily build by link.
So a first image is new the About dialog:
And a second image is the Start Center (empty):
Looks nice for me=) Thanks to our designers for it.
For your first image showing the About dialog, should the following be translated:
ReplyDelete* ‘Credits’ hyperlink
* ‘Website’ hyperlink
* ‘Release Notes’ hyperlink
* ‘Copy Version Info’ button
Indeed, looks very nice. Congratulations to all developers!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but has far too much details. This doesn't look proffessional!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the image is far too complex
ReplyDeleteWhat is the interest in changing the logo every other year ? Brand recognition is about a stable image that large communities of users immediately recognise and that facilitates user identification with the brand.
ReplyDeleteIn a marketing strategy a change in logo will be linked to a change in ownership, in marketing strategy etc.
Did the ownership of LibreOffice change ?
Did the product content change ?
Did the target population change ?
Is there a command from the board to change the logo ?
I understand that a logo incites designers to use it as a playground but it is none.
It is the symbol for the product and the community.
And a symbol must remain STABLE if it should help to recognise the product & the community.
The LibreOffice Logo has not changed. The picture you see is not the libreoffice logo. It is the branding which changed, not the logo. It is still thhe same logo and has not changed sinc I started using LibreOffice which was the same time LibreOffice got seperated from OpenOffice!
ReplyDeleteNice new image LibreOffice!
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice! Perfect!
